Recipe Pizza Roll of of 27-11-2007 [Updated on 05-04-2019]
The Stuffed Pizza Rotolo is a nice and different way to present pizza. At least once a week at my house we make pizza and this time, among the many trays, I also made a pizza roll stuffed with cooked ham, smoked cheese, artichokes in oil and fontina ... very very tasty;) if you are lovers of the genre I suggest you try this recipe and then let me know what you think, I'm in love with it;)
How to make the pizza roll
Place the flour in a heap with the yeast dissolved in the water in the center
Start working then add the oil and salt and knead vigorously until the dough is smooth and elastic.
Cover and let the pizza rise for 2 hours or until it has doubled in volume.
Now roll out the dough on a floured pastry board forming a rectangle
Spread a layer of cooked ham, one of scamorza cheese, fontina cheese and finally one of artichokes, drained of oil
Roll the pizza sheet wide.
Place the pizza roll on a loaf pan covered with oven dough and leave to rise for an hour
Then brush the surface of the roll with a little oil. Bake at 200 ° C in a preheated oven for about 20 minutes.
Remove from the oven and leave to cool for a couple of minutes, then serve.
Cut the filled pizza roll into slices about 2 cm thick.
