Who does not know the tenerina cake, the famous Ferrara chocolate cake that would tempt even the most reluctant to sweet, is a yeast-free cake that has a delicious outer crust and a melt-in-the-mouth interior. After having tasted it and having super appreciated it, I wanted to try my hand at this preparation and to make it I used the recipe of the well-known pastry chef Maurizio Santin. Method

How to make the tenerina cake

Melt the butter with the chocolate in a saucepan
Pour the chocolate cream into a bowl and let it cool. Separate the yolks from the whites and add to the mixture one yolk at a time

Add the flour and mix

Beat the egg whites with the sugar
Then add them to the dough

Mix until you get a homogeneous mixture

Pour the mixture into a greased and floured cake pan and bake the chocolate cake in the oven at 180 ° for 15 minutes.

Let the tenerina cake cool before taking it out of the mold

then sprinkle with icing sugar and serve
