I love yogurt and for a long time I was looking for an easy way to make it at home, so as to have a fresh and genuine product made directly with my hands, so when I stumbled upon this simple recipe, I immediately proceeded to make it. To prepare homemade yogurt, 3 heaped tablespoons of Greek yogurt at room temperature and a liter of fresh milk will be enough, following the recipe to the letter, after 12 hours you will get a thick and creamy yogurt that you can enrich with honey or fruit and customize it according to the your tastes. By setting aside 3 tablespoons of your homemade yogurt, you can create new ones every time so that you can always have a supply in the fridge. How to make homemade yogurt
Heat the milk over low heat in a large pot.
When the milk comes to a boil, turn off the heat.
Let the milk cool completely and filter it with a narrow mesh strainer to remove the cream created on the surface.
Put the yogurt at room temperature and 5 tablespoons of milk in a bowl, mix with a wooden spoon until the yogurt is completely dissolved.
Now cover with the remaining milk and, without stirring, close the container tightly. Then put the mixture in the oven off (previously heated for a minute at 30 °) only with the light on and let it rest for about 12 hours.
After the indicated time, if a liquid serum has been created on the surface, discard it.
Pour the yogurt into glass jars.
Close with a lid and put in the fridge to cool, where the yogurt will become further thick.
Homemade yogurt can be kept in the fridge for about a week and can be enriched with sugar, honey, fruit or chocolate for various flavors.
