Baked Potatoes Recipe of 10-05-2007 [Updated on 07-09-2018]
Thebaked potatoes they are one of the simplest and most popular side dishes of Italian cuisine, a must that accompanies roast meats but also fish-based dishes, and that the whole family likes, a real jolly in practice.
Despite being a very simple recipe, over the years I have discovered that everyone prepares baked potatoes differently. For example, I only use yellow potatoes, I flavor them with rosemary, garlic and chilli and I use the trick of my mother, leaving the potatoes for a while in water and salt before cooking, in this way they lose part of the starch and there is no risk of them sticking during cooking.
The baked potatoes turn out so well golden, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside and then ... very fragrant, in short, perfect for my tastes.
Far be it from me to teach you how to prepare them, but I wanted to give you my "formula" if we can call it that;) So I leave you to the recipe, hoping it will come in handy at the first opportunity;)
How to make baked potatoes
Wash and peel the potatoes, then cut them into cubes of the same size. Then put them in a bowl with water and salt for about ten minutes.
In the meantime, put a few tablespoons of olive oil, a chilli pepper, the rosemary and a clove of garlic in the baking dish.
Drain the potatoes and pour them into the pan, turn them well. Then bake in a preheated oven at 180 ° C.
Bake the potatoes in the oven for 30 minutes, turning them halfway through cooking.
Finish cooking the potatoes by cooking them for 5 minutes with the grill option to obtain crispy baked potatoes.
Once ready, add salt and bring to the table.
