Sweet streamers recipe of 29-01-2016 [Updated on 02-03-2017]
Here is the recipe for preparing sweet streamers, a cheerful and colorful Carnival treat that will make your children go crazy with its captivating appearance! Prepared with a mixture similar to that of chiacchiere, the streamers are colored, spread and cut into long and thin strips, and wrapped on aluminum tubes, to recall the homonymous paper typical of the period, and then, of course, fried . Looking at them on the internet I have always found them extremely nice and inviting, but I confess that I had never tried my hand out for fear that they were also as difficult to make ... Well, nothing more wrong, try the recipe and you will see how easy they are to make ;) Among other things, given the enthusiasm of the children and the teacher when Elisa took them to school for a snack, I took care of preparing these streamers and sweet confetti for the whole class for the Carnival party they are organizing, I'll have a lot to do, but I'm really pleased to prepare this festive sweet for the children: P I'll leave you to the recipe and run away from my occupations, kisses: *
How to make sweet streamers
Place the flour in a bowl, put egg, vanilla, butter, sugar, limoncello and lemon peel in the center and start working.
Continue to work until you get a homogeneous mixture, then cover it with plastic wrap and let it rest at room temperature for 30 minutes.
Take the dough and divide it into 4 equal parts.
Put on disposable gloves, add a little dye of a different color to each block and knead each one separately, kneading until uniform colors are obtained.
Roll out the dough with the pasta machine, one loaf at a time, starting from a greater thickness and up to a thickness of about 2 mm.
Make strips about 1 finger thick from each color.
Grease the cannoli tubes (this step must be done only the first time) and wrap a strip on each tube.
Fry the streamers, a few at a time, in hot oil.
As they are ready, lift them with a slotted spoon and place them on absorbent paper and remove the tubular with great caution, perhaps with the help of pliers so as not to burn yourself.
Continue like this until all the strips of pasta are used up. With the remaining dough you can also cut out and fry some confetti.
You can serve the sparklers right away, or add a good sprinkling of icing sugar.
