Sweet and sour peppers recipe from of 07-09-2016 [Updated on 07-09-2016]
Sweet and sour peppers are a summer outline which I love, because rich in flavor, light enough and with a color that makes me happy :) They go very well with pork but are also perfect to serve to accompany a platter of cold cuts and cheeses.
The recipe is very simple and if you increase the amount of marinade you can also put them in jars and make preserves for the winter. In these days, among jams, pickles and various preserves, I am trying to put all the flavors of summer in the jars so as to pamper myself with my favorite foods during the cold season, and in the coming days I will give you all the new recipes I have tried out. For now, however, I salute you and leave you to sweet and sour peppers, kisses :*
How to make sweet and sour peppers
Wash the peppers well under running water and cut them in half lengthwise. Clean them by removing the core, seeds and white filaments, then cut them into strips of a couple of cm and then in half, so that they are not too long.
Fry the garlic in the oil in a non-stick pan, add the peppers and let them flavor for a few minutes, then add sugar, vinegar and a little salt.
Cover with a lid and cook for about 15 minutes over low heat, until the peppers are tender and the cooking sauce has not shrunk.
The sweet and sour peppers are ready: you can serve them hot, lukewarm or even cold.
