Strawberry coulis is the most famous of the sweet coulis, it is a sauce based of fruit and sugar used to garnish or accompany ice cream, Bavarian cream, cheesecakes or spoon desserts. The recipe of theStrawberry coulis it is really simple to make and will give an extra touch to your desserts. The smell of strawberries will spread throughout the kitchen and resisting the tasting will be practically impossible.
Remember to use your coulis only when it is very cold, to taste it instead you can do it when you want;)
How to make strawberry coulis
Wash the strawberries, remove the stalk and cut them in half.
Transfer them to a saucepan and cook for about 15 minutes or until they lose most of their water.
Then add the sugar and lemon juice and stir continuously to avoid lumps.
Continue cooking for another 5 minutes.
Filter the strawberries through a colander and let them cool completely.
Your strawberry coulis is ready to be used.
