Recipe Mashed Potatoes of 16-12-2007 [Updated on 03-10-2017]
The mashed potatoes it is the side dish par excellence, a comfort food linked to my childhood and for this reason, one of my favorite dishes. The recipe of mashed potatoes it is very easy to make and can accompany many dishes, both meat like roast or chicken, and fish.
In short, a few ingredients to make a simple dish that everyone likes, especially children and that is suitable for any occasion.
It is a very easy recipe, but I wanted to post it because it suits today's freezing day and indeed, know what I tell you? I'm just going to make the mashed potatoes for dinner tonight, kisses!
How to make mashed potatoes
Cook the potatoes in abundant salted water for about 40 minutes.
As soon as the potatoes are cooked, still hot, peel them and pass them in a potato masher in a large bowl or directly in the pot where you will have to cook the mashed potatoes.
Cook the mashed potatoes slowly incorporating the warmed milk over low heat for about 20 minutes. Stir constantly so as not to create lumps.
Now add the salt, butter and Parmesan cheese and whisk the mashed potatoes vigorously, until the mixture is soft and consistent.
I accompanied the mashed potatoes with poached eggs.
