Halloween stuffed peppers recipe of 25-10-2017 [Updated on 25-10-2017]
THE stuffed peppers of Halloween are a nice and scenic way to bring a themed first course to the table. The idea is to cut the peppers in the shape of the famous Jack-o'-lantern, and to use the spaghetti seasoned with a meat sauce to give it an even more scary look! For this preparation I advise you to choose peppers that have a base with 4 points (they are said to be female peppers), so as to keep them standing.
I found it a really nice idea to bring to the table and I believe that these stuffed peppers will become part of my Halloween menu this year: P Girls, I'm ready for my cooking show here in Bolzano from Stuffer. Give me a big good luck, kisses: *
How to make Halloween stuffed peppers
Cut the upper cap of the peppers and empty them inside eliminating the white filaments and seeds.
Carve each one by drawing a scary face.
Cook them in abundant boiling water for 10 minutes, together with the caps.
Meanwhile, in a pan, heat the oil with the spring onion.
Put the minced meat, let it cook for about 5 minutes, blend with a little white wine, then add the tomato puree and salt.
Mix and continue to cook for about 15 minutes.
Cook the pasta in plenty of boiling salted water, drain it al dente and put it in a pan with the sauce.
Put some Parmesan and mix.
Lift the peppers and fill them with the pasta.
Close with the caps.
Your Halloween stuffed peppers are ready to serve.
